Our 'Big Day' was on August Bank Hoilday weekend over on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire. Our beautiful venue was The Great Hall At Mains which was exclusivley ours. Check out their blog about our wedding day, just click here!
I love designing and creating things and Our Wedding Day was my biggest challenge to date! I wanted to make everything I could myself so that the biggest day in a girls life was exactly as it should be.
Our colour scheme was Ivory and Black with a Damask theme running through, complemented with Jade Green Bridesmaid dresses by Dessy
I finally decided on my dress after trying on far too many to remember, is a Sottero and Midgley with incredible bead and lace detailing from The Bridal Boutique and have been nominated for the 2012 Wedding Industry Award!

I made all the stationery from the invites to everything seen on the day including the table plan and the wedding postbox. All the jewellery from the bracelets that my 3 and 5 year old neices begged for, the bridesmaids jewellery and of course my own was all designed and made by me. I wore 'Mia' hair slide and 'Collette' earrings in clear crystal. The Flower Girls and my Matron of Honour had Mila drawstring bags which matched our colour and Damask theme and I also made extras to put on out at the wedding full of sweets to keep people from going hungry before our amazing wedding breakfast provided by one of the three caterers recommended by our venue, Twelve who not only cater events but have a fab restaurant too

Not that you would have guessed yet but I do have a sweet tooth and not only did I make a tower of cupcakes covered in chocolate fudge icing but Our Wedding cake was almost all chocolate made by the very talented Diana from Cakes by Diana in Ilkley Our beautiful table flowers, Pew ends and our bouquets etc were put together by the lovely Fiona at Firenza Floral Design

It's a lot of work but definatly worth it in the endand of course, No wedding is complete without a conga and a bit of limbo after a few drinks!
